Students begin the year with a three to four day introduction to backpacking trip. Learning to function as a group, live comfortably in the backcountry and explore the concepts of sustainability. |
Students explore the origins of man in literature and history and begin the semester with experiencing the basics of life from a primitive perspective. |

Connecting their studies of American history, government and politics, students travel to Washington, D.C. to examine and experience our nations history and current status. |
Learning the skills of debate and examining local environmental issues. Students spend the week examining two distinctly different communities, gathering information to inform their team debate. |

Providing an opportunity for students to study dams and bridges, fluid dynamics and outdoor skills, students are learn basic canoeing skills while paddling on both flat and moving water. |
